Pouya Shafipour, MDDr. Pouya Shafipour is a board-certified family medicine physician with specialized training in obesity medicine, bringing a warm, human approach to care that reflects his belief in treating the root causes – not just the symptoms – of health concerns. His focus lies in preventive medicine, sustainable weight management, and chronic disease care, always with an eye toward long-term wellbeing. He holds certifications from the American Board of Family Medicine, Obesity Medicine, and Bariatric Medicine, making him uniquely positioned to support individuals on complex health journeys.

What sets Dr. Shafipour apart is his deep understanding that health is personal. He takes time to listen, connect, and build realistic, evidence-based plans that fit into people’s lives. Now contributing as Clinical Wellness Advisor within our staff, he helps shape content, tools, and services that empower users to make informed decisions. Dr. Taylor Nichols, MD, FACEP, FAAEM – Emergency & Addiction Medicine Advisor

dr Taylor NicholsDr. Taylor Nichols is a dual board-certified physician in emergency medicine and addiction medicine, known for his human-centered approach to care and advocacy. He currently leads as CEO of Transitions Addiction Medicine Group, serves as Medical Director at the Transitions Clinic of Sacramento, and works as an Implementation Leader with the CA Bridge Program, helping to expand access to treatment for substance use disorders across California. He also contributes to the next generation of physicians as Volunteer Clinical Faculty at UC Davis Medical Center and supports underserved populations through his role with Sacramento Street Medicine.

Trained at UC Davis School of Medicine and UCSF–San Francisco General Hospital, Dr. Nichols has shaped his career around health equity, policy, and harm reduction. He is now pursuing a Master’s in Health Policy and Law through a joint program at UC Law SF and UCSF. Recognized with numerous awards, including the Injury Prevention and Harm Reduction Award and the Humanism Award – he brings both deep expertise and compassionate leadership to our advisory network, focusing on bridging emergency care and addiction support in accessible, practical ways.

Dr. Leo Moore, MD, MSHPM – Medical Advisor

Leo MooreDr. Leo Moore is a physician leader, internal medicine expert, and public advocate committed to advancing equity and care. As Medical Director for Clinic Services at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, he leads centers focused on HIV prevention, STD care, tuberculosis, and refugee services. A Morehouse graduate, he completed his Primary Care Internal Medicine residency at Yale and earned a Master of Science in Health Policy and Management through the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program at UCLA.

In addition to his leadership and frontline care roles, Dr. Moore now contributes as Medical Advisor to our customer support center, where he supports the development of inclusive, medically sound resources that reflect the needs of diverse communities. Known for his compassionate, community-centered approach, Dr. Moore is also the founder of the nonprofit Your Black Doctor, and a member of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS. His voice continues to influence national conversations on healthcare access, especially in Black and LGBTQ+ populations.

Dr. Trisha Singh, PharmD – Pharmacist

Trisha SinghDr. Trisha Singh is a pharmacist with a strong interest in personalized care, community well-being, and patient education. She completed both her Doctor of Pharmacy and Bachelor of Health Sciences at California Northstate University, where she was actively involved in research, peer mentorship, and student leadership. Her academic path included poster presentations on cancer screening, neuroscience, and biofluorescent molecules, along with hands-on experience in vaccination clinics and wellness programs.

She enjoys helping others understand their treatments, navigate medications, and feel more confident in their healthcare choices. With a background in mental health advocacy, public speaking, and pharmacy outreach, she brings a thoughtful and approachable style to every conversation. Now part of our team, she supports medicine-related content and patient-facing guidance with the same practical, people-first mindset she’s developed through years of study and service.

Dr. Lovnit Kaur, PharmD – Pharmacist

Lovnit KaurDr. Lovnit Kaur is a licensed pharmacist with a strong foundation in molecular biology, patient care, and clinical decision-making. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from Roseman University of Health Sciences and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Nevada, Reno, where she also completed a minor in statistics. Her academic journey reflects a strong interest in both the science and communication behind effective healthcare.

She has practiced in both California and Nevada, supporting patients through safe medication use, counseling, and collaborative care. With experience in hospital settings and pharmacy services, she focuses on clear communication, safety, and education. Dr. Kaur now supports pharmacy services by providing informed, reliable input on health-related resources, helping ensure that patients feel supported in managing their health and treatments.

Dr. Laura Meyer, PharmD – Pharmacist

Laura MeyerDr. Laura Meyer is a dedicated pharmacist who combines strong expertise with a passion for health technology and patient empowerment. After earning her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from UTHSC College of Pharmacy, she pursued additional training in health informatics and information management to better support data-driven, patient-centered care. Her academic foundation also includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Colorado State University, where she focused on human anatomy and physiology.

Known for her calm, thoughtful approach, Laura has worked across a range of pharmacy settings – from community pharmacies to health systems – supporting patients through medication therapy management, immunizations, smoking cessation, and overdose prevention. She has earned multiple certifications and completed teaching and research programs to deepen her clinical insight and contribute to the education of future pharmacists. Outside of work, she values communication, empathy, and building trust with patients to improve their understanding and confidence in managing their treatment.
